Rain, Rain Go Away....

The best thing one can do when it's raining is to let it rain. ~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

It seems that ever since we returned from vacation, the weather here has been rainy and quite cold for May.   It rained a little when we were in Kauai, but rain in Kauai is refreshing...rain here at home is not..it is actually a bit depressing.

Rain is one of those things that you can do absolutely nothing about.   But you do have a choice to view it as depressing or refreshing.    You can wallow in the grayness and the wetness and the miserable coldness...Or you can be thankful that you have warm cozy shelter...a hot beverage and a good book...facebook, someone to curl up with.   I have found that rain makes the earth smell good.   It makes the flowers brighter.  It sounds wonderful as it hits the ground.

The forecast this Memorial Day weekend sounds like it will bleak outside.   We had hoped to get into the garden, but instead we are going to get into our housework.   The forecast for inside our home is expected to be quite pleasant!
